Where It All Began.
iLiveOPEN was founded by two men: one a mentor and the other an at-risk, young man trapped in a vicious cycle of lies, online pornography and cyber sexual relationships. Chandler Fozard* was the first XXXtreme Mentor and MH was the young man. The website was launched, the bracelets have been ordered, but the project lay dormant until the right leader can be found.
CS Lewis said that, “…if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased” (from his sermon: “The Weight of Glory”).
The mission of iLiveOPEN is to challenge everyone, everywhere, to LiveOPEN, transparent lives before God and their loved ones. We will do this, if the Lord wills, through Christ-centered worship, teaching, mentoring and accountability. The goal of which is to so impress upon each of us what CS Lewis referred to as the “unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised us in the gospels” that we would come to see that we have been “far too easily pleased,” “weak,” pathetic souls, settling for “sex, drink and ambition when infinite joy is offered to us!”
